40 Years. 40 Faces. | Annie, Process Quality Auditor

After 22 years at Plastiques GPR, Annie is one of those people who knows the company inside and out.

She joined GPR in 2004 as a night shift operator while working a student job. Over the years, she has witnessed the company evolve, grow, and transform. Today, her experience has made her one of the go-to people whenever there is a question about quality, processes, or simply finding information that few others still remember.

"People know they'll get an answer."

On a daily basis, Annie updates technical data sheets, participates in trials for new products, and investigates production issues to understand their root causes and implement the necessary corrective actions.

Behind these responsibilities, however, lies a much broader role. Annie often serves as the link between what happens on the production floor and what needs to be corrected, documented, or improved moving forward.

For Annie, analysis never stops at identifying that a problem exists. It means understanding why it happened, what caused it, and how to prevent it from happening again. That mindset likely explains why curiosity is a recurring theme throughout her answers.

"Be curious, ask questions, understand, and analyze."

According to her, these are essential qualities for success in her field. You need to be willing to learn, seek information, and above all, take the time to understand what lies behind every situation.

After more than two decades with the company, that curiosity remains as strong as ever. It is probably one of the reasons she has earned the reputation she has today.

Over the years, Annie has accumulated an impressive amount of knowledge about GPR's products, processes, equipment, and ways of working. When questions arise, many colleagues instinctively know exactly who to turn to.

The trust people place in her is also one of the things that makes her proud.

For Annie, being seen as a knowledgeable resource is a meaningful recognition of the journey she has taken since her first days at GPR. Her career path, in fact, has been anything but linear.

Before taking on her current role, Annie worked in several areas of the company. As an operator, she gained experience in different departments and developed a firsthand understanding of production floor realities. She later moved into quality assurance and gradually progressed into increasingly technical roles.

Today, she divides her time between the office and the shop floor, often acting as a key connection between production teams and various support departments. This position gives her a broad perspective of operations and allows her to help solve the challenges that arise every day. And there are always challenges. In fact, that's what she enjoys most about her work: no two days are ever the same.

"There is never a day that's exactly like the one before."

New products, new requests, new issues to investigate: every day brings new opportunities to learn. Even after 22 years, Annie continues to discover new things.

When asked what makes her proud to work at GPR, she quickly mentions the company's growth and the feeling of contributing to something bigger than herself.

For Annie, every improvement, every project, and every collective effort helps move the organization in the right direction.

She is also proud to see how the accomplishments of each individual ultimately contribute to the success of the entire team.

Outside of work, many people would be surprised to learn that Annie has a passion for creative activities. She spent many years scrapbooking and working on a variety of artistic projects. She has even created wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and her own wedding cake.

An interesting contrast to her highly technical and analytical side at work.

When asked what she hopes people will remember about her time at GPR, her answer reflects her humility. She simply hopes that she has helped the company grow and leaves a positive mark behind her.

"I hope I've helped the company evolve and move forward."

After 22 years at GPR, one thing is certain: Annie's curiosity, rigor, impressive memory, and determination to always understand the "why" behind things have made her a valuable resource for countless colleagues.

And if many people now refer to her as GPR's encyclopedia, it's because she has spent more than two decades learning, understanding, and sharing her knowledge to help the company move forward.
